Project Overview


  1. Choose an "Investment Justification" for each of your proposed projects

  2. Choose a National Preparedness Goal Mission Area for each of your proposed projects
  3. Choose a National Preparedness Goal Core Capability for each of your proposed projects

  4. Choose whether your proposed project builds a new capability (i.e. not previously funded by SHSGP for your agency) or sustains an already existing capability (i.e. a project type that SHSGP has funded and supported in previous grant cycles)
  5. Select a Focus for your proposed Project
  6. Provide a Project Overview for each proposed project, detailing quantity, item, etc.
  7. Provide a compelling narrative describing your agency's/department's need for funding for the proposed project(s)
  8. Project Milestone Narratives that describe your internal processes that are needed to complete your project within the Performance Period allowed:
    • Requires specific actions and specific dates
    • Will be reported to both Cal OES and FEMA twice yearly, and tracked (whether milestone was reached or missed), through the Biannual Strategic Implementation Report (BSIR)
